TO SEPHA JUST YESTERDAY
Weren’t we kids, just yesterday- running out the door?
Taking life so seriously, knowing not what was in store
Putting on that make-up, lines of black and white
Like painting on a canvas making sure we got it right
Remember our sorority we thought we were so cool
Our “Chi Sig” honk, the meetings, the songs
And showing off at school
Remember going to college - And Bart, with boots of black
We laughed at that until we cried
For a moment, let’s look back
Remember Harold hunting - You drove and I spied for you
“Is his car there, can you see him”? Oy, what you put me through
Remember all the platform shoes and bell bottom jeans we’d wear?
Remember that green mini skirt, tan skin and long long hair
Remember we each married and had weddings of our own
Remember our beautiful babies, the ones who now are grown?
Remember all the fun we’d have, we took them everywhere
All packed inside your tiny car, the adventures we would share
I could go on forever, the laughter and the tears
We’ve shared more than a lifetime it’s been over 40 years!
And now we’ve come full circle and I think.how can it be?
Our boys are gown with wives of their own
Our daughters so like you and me.
Neither time nor distance can keep true friends apart
Our bond is there forever as it’s been right from the start
